Contest Brief

Hi all,

For my new home I'm a little lost for ideas and I'm hoping to get some through this contest.

Limitations:

* I cannot build anything "over the waterside"
* The height difference can only be solved by a slope or straight (example picture included) but I'm not allowed to level it from the waterside.
* the wooden deck that can be seen in dimensions.jpeg will be there standard

Wishes:

* I like asian influences and the use of wood (decks and tiles)
* Grey tiles
* multiple terasses for sun position
* plants bordered or in containers
+ Lighting advice

For the including documents it's good to know that we own build site 38.
And there is going to be a fence between us and the neighbours.

Best regards,

Arthur

Hello Mr. Arthur, how are you doing? I am an Architect and landscape Designer, I will entry on this contest. Do you have any .dwg file to provide us? In addition I would like to ask you few questions about your garden design. 1. Do you enjoy making the garden maintanence by yourself or are you seeking for a low maitanence garden? 2. Is water use a problem? 3. Any restrictions to insects or animals that the vegetation may attract? Can you inform the site location or region ( The purpose is to study which species are possible to grow). Thanks.

Hi, I hope I can answer your questions, but unfortunately I only have PDF format files. I do like to work in the garden, but because of lack of time I prefer a little low maintanance. This garden and home is located in Holland, the predominant wind direction in Holland is southwest, which causes a moderate maritime climate, with warm summers (up to 25/30 degrees celcius) and cool winters (can be minus 10), and relatively high humidity. Water use is not a problem in Holland and animals or insects will not be of influence. Looking forward to your entry, and best regards, Arthur

Hi, that can be any reasonable common file format. An image file or adobe format would be fine, but also CAD or 3DsMax wouldn't be a problem. I hope you are planning on being creative! Best regards,

Hi, It can be both 2d or 3d. If it's a 2d I would like to see a cross section of your idea on the hight difference but it really doesn't matter. What I want out of this is a creative idea which I can either do myself or with the help of a gardener. I hope you submit an idea! Best regards, Arthur
