Hey there

As far as my experience with adobe InDesign says, You can't really format forms (interactive text elements) much in Indesign. My workflow is to export the indesign file with basic formatting and then work upon it on Adobe Acrobat. Acrobat offers much more features and I guess you'll have access to it on your CC subscription. Hope that helps and you can communicate to me for any other issues.

for InDesign: assign paragraph style to interactive text field

    Thank you Syed.

I have that option in inDesign too. The trouble is, I cannot specify starting font size and final font size. So it starts typing in font size 4 or something, which is much too small and then, when you click out of the field it puts it to size 12pt which is not desired either.

I guess for Acrobat it would need a small JavaScript to resolve.

Thank you Syed for your suggestion. I indeed to have access to Adobe Acrobat. So I would not mind if you tell me a solution for my problem for Acrobat, rather than InDesign. I would have a condition such as "start with font size 10", if there are more than 20 characters "adjust to font size 7".

In Acrobat, Go to Prepare Form mode, right-click the field, select Properties, switch to the Appearance tab and set the font size setting to Auto.

This shall resize the text automatically as it increases.
I hope that solves the issue.
