I need a straightforward concept that lets a cylindrical sensor (≈12-16" tall, 2" Ø, 3-6 lbs) hang securely above a square 19" × 19" tank opening without touching or modifying the tank itself. Metal is my preferred material for strength and durability, but I’m open to whichever alloy or finish you feel best resists corrosion in a damp environment. The mounting style can be a hook, clamp, or even a magnetic arrangement—whichever solution offers the most reliable grip while keeping the sensor perfectly vertical and stable. Likewise, the actual attachment method to the tank rim is flexible; the only non-negotiables are quick, tool-light installation and equally easy removal so the whole rig remains truly portable. Please deliver: • A clear 3D model or hand-drawn sketches that illustrate the full assembly • A concise explanation showing how your design maintains vertical alignment, prevents accidental drops, and copes with a 3-6 lb load I’ll be reviewing concepts primarily on simplicity, portability, and how confidently they keep that sensor steady over the 19-inch aperture.
