Contest Brief

We want to 3D print a custom designed bathroom sink for a futuristic floating home we are building.

- We are looking for something futuristic, clean and beautiful
- please assume the faucet and hot/cold knobs will be coming out of the wall like in the sample images but the exact position can be changed to suit the design
- I would prefer the design of the sink to be white but if you want to submit white as well as an alternative that is fine
- Attached are renders of the sink, the cabinet below it as well as the room it will be in. We only need a design for the sink, not the cabinet below it.
- The design can have parts that go as high as 6 inches above and 6 inches below the flat sink top on the renders.
- The basin shape, length, width, can height, can be changed

- Attached are .stp files for you to work with and sample renderings
- This is not required but if there was an elevated place to rest your phone where we can have a wireless charger built into the sink that would be cool. - I will pick a first place winner and I may buy additional designs if there are more than one that we like.
- I will give feedback and ratings on all designs as quickly as possible.

Hi there, this project looks interesting (i have experience in product design, Autodesk inventor and 3d printing).
Some questions:
- The technology is similar to the 3d concrete printings? (to have an idea of what is possible)
- you will use other materials? cast? porcelain? (not sure of the chooses on sinks)
- The type of printing I assume cant use "support material"; another potential observation/restriction? (post-process?, probably the porosity is not good on sinks)
- I am not sure if complex shapes can work, any observation of the technology is welcome. (maybe a video testing the material, to see how works the extruder).

if exist some chance of translucent material please tell us.
