Vernallis observes that "we used to define music video as a product of the record company in which images are put to a recorded pop song in order to sell the song. None of this definition holds any more" (2013, p208). Why not? Critically examine this quote with reference to the key aspects of the music video phenomenon, from MTV to Youtube. Refer to pertinent theories made by scholars of popular music to support your argument.

I need to write a 2000 words essay regarding to this topic along with at least 10 academic resources in Harvard Style.
