Contest Brief

Greetings!

I need an icon for my new game called City Bus Tycoon. I would like to upload it to AppStore, GooglePlay and Windows 8.

I imagine red drawn bus in the middle with face like -> please see the TENTATIVE attachment...
I just imagine red angry/happy "3D" bus on yellow/orange shiny/sunny background also with nice red glass/shiny border.

That icon should catch app store´s customer´s eyes at the first sight!
I like following App Store icons:
Order&Chaos, SUPERFUGU, Plants vs. Zombies, Cut the Rope etc.

The output should be 512x512 - sharp PNG
Also please note that icon´s size will be reduced by stores. So bus should be visible!

UPDATE: I have created PNG with my idea. I´m sorry for that ghastly appearance. :)
NOTE: CBT_1_small is Main Menu graphic only for your information...

    Current status - 34 entries
    Best bus - E33 - Score 75% - Angry/funny bus - "funny" is important! Universally please dominate your buses, don´t import game name, spread the bus around the icon (of course it is necessarry to crop the bus at the end if necessary). Please do not import coaches or school buses. Game is about CITY BUSES.
    Best bus face/behaviour - E33 + E20
    Best icon color (intensity, contrast etc.) - E22
    Best background - E33
    Best border - almost E22, then E33 and E34 (however these two looks normal)

    31 - Nice start! But bus could be much bigger. There is a lot of empty space.

      Nice ones! However please check requirements, attachments and comments. Meets requirements at 50% now. Text isn´t necessary, bus should excel/dominate across all icon. Then, of course, the bus should looks great. :)

    Additional info, maybe it helps. My game isn´t arcade. CBT is time-management, strategy and logic game, just tycoon - more "hardcore" game. So appearance should be a little more serious. Game will play people 7 maybe 10+.

    E21 is nice, but doesn´t meet the requirements.
    E25, 26, 28 are also nice, but that is school bus (red school bus). Best looking bus is now E20 but still very simple.

    E20 is interesting one (but without background and border). There isn´t necessary to show game´s name. Icon will be too small (on stores for example). The bus should EXCEL. Paradoxically I don´t want nothing complex. That icon must be simple and of course nice to catch customer´s eyes. However, this entry meets 2 requirements the most! Facial expression (face) and bus width. It should be real bus, not toy for kid´s.

    The best job provided at this moment (E22). However, red should be the bus and border, that should excel. Backgrounds should be rather yellow (that orange is too agressive). About the face - this is too much! :) I would ask for more decent face, less lips (men's visage) and straighter teeth.

    do you want us to use standard android colors that android specifies?
    Do you want put a distinctive silhouette behind the Icon , so that it will it looks good on any background?
    do you want the background of the icon to be transparent or a solid background color/ Gradient?

    please provide feedback , as it will help you get what you want. :)

      1) Don´t know how looks colors that android specifies. You can try. :)
      2) Also you can try. Maybe it will look good.
      3) Definitely solid. Entry 22 now almost meets the background requirements.

    Hi "mahwishbaig1989". I´m sorry. This is really not I´m looking for. 3D bus at the center (nothing else - only 1 object) with its own face (not only imported tentative smiley). Bus has to be drawn. Also please note, that icon will be scratched to few pixels on the AppStore.
