Contest Brief

I require an original design to be used on the landing page for a classical ballet website.
The design will have a ballet theme and should evoke many of the following impressions:
• Movement
• Grace
• Strength
• Stage presence
• Elegance
• Theatrical
• Dramatic colour
• Light and Shade
• Excitement
• Ephemeral
One or more human elements may make up your design. Colours, ribbons, spotlights and theatrical effects may be used. The design does not need to be literal, but if images of actual people are used, they should not be identifiable. The composition should be to the left of screen (leading the viewer into the site). The page size should be 100%.

I want something quite minimalist that is clearly signifying ballet and has some clever precise strategic flashes of colour and the suggestion of movement. It will appear on a 100% web landing page and be the only object on that page (except perhaps some discrete menu items). It is not a logo or an existing website 'grab' …. It is essentially a recognisable ballet composition in the abstract.

I am looking for original work. Please do not post screen grabs. Also, please do no saturate the composition with colour. I am looking for a delicate design with class and finesse.
