Howdy folks! Are you creative? Talented? Have an unusual sense of humor? If so, we desperately need your help!

I'm looking for a talented graphic artist to design an AMAZING logo that will be THE face of our upcoming brewery. The name of the brewery is "Civilized Chimps Brewing Co". I've attached some rough sketches and preliminary logos that I (a not so talented fella) have created.

The whole idea/theme behind "Civilized Chimps" is to create quality craft beer without being too snobby or taking ourselves too serious. We love being oxymorons (emphasis on the morons) and have a wacky sense of humor. Some of the words we feel sum up our upcoming brewery and beer (products) which can be considered as our brand values:
• Funny
• Primates
• Quality
• Humor
• Refined
• Stylishly silly

The temporary tag line we're using for the brewery is, "Craft beer brewed by primates with discerning taste and style". We do NOT need to add the tag line in the logo design, I'm mentioning it to give you an idea of our theme/brand.

Color of the label would be (for now) a simple black and white similar to the Bell's Brewery logo (http://bellsbeer.com/images/logo.png). We will also review and consider color submissions. I have no idea of the font, but I really love how people like Lost Rhino used the font with the silhouetted surfboarding rhino (www.lostrhino.com).

We're envisioning a clean, funny cartoonish logo with a design that's simple enough for use on bar glasses, shirts, websites, everything. The logo will be used on:
• Business cards
• Bar glasses
• Shirts
• CivilizedChimp.com Website
• Letterheads
• Potentially displayed on our brewery
• Brochures etc

Design Style:
• IMPORTANT: The chimp CANNOT be drinking a beer or holding any alcohol containers
• IMPORTANT: The chimp CANNOT be smoking
• Requesting that the chimp hold a HOP cone (see link for hop cone samples http://tiny.cc/bwc72w )
• Minimalistic (Example: http://bellsbeer.com/images/logo.png)
• Clean
• Cartoon/manga/anime cartoonish style
• Contemporary
• Version of logo with words "Civilized Chimps Brewing Co" (see attached sample)
• Version of logo without words (chimp only, see attached sample)

Ownership/Copyright
• Please submit ORIGINAL logo designs that do NOT infringe on an existing brand/artwork.
• Selection of a winner assumes logo design and all associated logo likenesses will be turned over to Civilized Chimps Brewing Company, LLC.
• Civilized Chimps Brewing Company, LLC will own the logo and all copyrights to the winning logo.
• A signed "Work for hire Copyright agreement" must be returned prior to declaring a contest winner and releasing the contest award money.

File Format:
• High quality Adobe compatible and vector formatting (.ai) preferred by printers and web developers or raster format (jpg & .tiff) must have a min dpi of 300 dpi.

RULES:
• All submissions must be made via this contest. No direct submissions will be considered/used.
• A signed "Work for hire Copyright agreement" must be returned prior to declaring a contest winner and releasing the contest award money.

  I want my original images to serve as an inspiration, but I'm looking for something completely original and new. Nothing based on existing photographs or existing brands/logos/cartoons. Looking for something humorous and cartoonish, but with clean lines.

We are looking for logo designs that are humorous and cartoonish, but with clean lines. Also, any designs using monkeys or animals holding/drinking alcohol will be immediately rejected.
