Contest Brief

Larix has grown from a pure tree-care service into a team that also crafts rich, nature-friendly gardens. Our current logo still carries the punch of an arborist’s chainsaw—good for tree work, but it no longer speaks to the soft, diverse habitats we now create. I need a refreshed visual identity that keeps our recognisable feel yet clearly highlights the nature-garden side of the business.

What I’m after
• Imagery should weave in floral patterns, gentle animal motifs, and subtle landscape references so biodiversity is instantly felt.
• Earth-tone colours—think deep greens, warm browns, muted ochres—must lead the palette. Accents can appear, but the overall scheme should stay grounded and organic.
• The final look should feel welcoming and ecologically balanced rather than aggressive, while still hinting at our professional tree-care roots.

Deliverables (all in CMYK + RGB):
• Primary and secondary logo versions as editable vectors (AI, EPS) and web-ready PNG/SVG
• Defined colour palette with HEX, RGB, and CMYK codes
• Typography recommendations (free or commercially licensable fonts)
• A brief usage guide (PDF) showing logo clear-space, minimum sizes, and sample applications on vehicle signage, workwear, and social media

Acceptance criteria
1. Logo instantly communicates our work with nature gardens and tree care.
2. Floral, fauna, and landscape elements are visible yet balanced.
3. Earth-tone palette dominates; no harsh, high-saturation colours.
4. Files open flawlessly in Adobe Illustrator and display correctly on standard browsers.
