Contest Brief

First, I apologize to graphic designers who contributed designs to a previous contest I held for a logo and website design for Business Buddy Inc.
As someone pointed out, I couldn't combine the contests. That contest was deleted so now I'm re-posting. This is the first of two contests. I would encourage those designers who submitted contributions to my previous competition to resubmit those designs again. Those whose contributions I had ranked 4 or better are particularly welcome to re-submit their same designs. There were at least 4 that I was quite taken with. I hope you see this contest and post your submissions again.

Business Buddy Inc. is a small business offering business development and project management services to other small businesses.
Our slogan is "Helping small businesses start, grow and succeed!"

I am looking for a logo that is professional and it must be 100% original work.
I'm particularly partial to logos that incorporate the whole name of the business but focus on the initials BBI
I like colour but the logo has to look good as a b/w or grayscale as well.
Also, please submit copies of your submission in several colours - I plan to vary the colour of the logo frequently depending on the audience.
(Orange, purple, green and blue are favorites) Please know that I like bold but simple logos.

I am posting this competition in part to "meet" a number of graphic artists because Business Buddy Inc. will offer logo and website development as one of its many services. I will in turn outsource this business to Freelancers on Freelancer.Com.

With all due respect Sir, do you know what you are doing? You gave two stars to a copied logo and rejected those original ones which are much better. Entries #4 and #5 are copied logo from another company and yet you gave two stars?

Be reasonable CH. I thought you know what you are doing but you disappoint me and I've lost my interest in your contest.

  Maybe it's an issue resulting from a language barrier, that's entirely possible. You might want to consider that starting your message "With all due respect Sir, do you know what you are doing?" can only be perceived as rude from an English Canadian client's perspective. If you weren't intending to be rude, I wholeheartedly apologize. Might I suggest that in future if you have a similar issue you start by saying Dear Sir/Madame: If you would permit me, I would like to point out the following issue... - A different approach would most certainly have received a different response because I did appreciate your pointing out the issue with those particular logos. I can guarantee you sir that I'm no fool and it's unfortunate that we got off on the wrong foot. However, I expect we are both professionals and can move past this issue. If you will care to submit entries to future projects I post, I will gladly receive them. Thank you and good luck to you. Jean
