Contest Brief

This is a for a most basic bottle and can opener (see attached). The object of this is to design a guard to cover the sharp point of the opener. This guard piece will be such that it can be easily pushed out of the way during use, but securely snap or spring back into position when the opener is not being used. An opener with this feature can be used as the charm on a key chain to allow this opener to be carried inside a pocket. The final design should be elegant in both looks and function, compact, and easy to produce. Designers can google for "bottle and can opener" to see various opener designs.
