Children’s Illustrator Wanted – Bladder & Bowel Health Awareness Campaign IMPORTANT: NO GENERATIVE AI. I’m looking for a talented illustrator or sticker designer to create a cohesive series of cute, cartoon-style vinyl stickers for a bladder and bowel health awareness initiative. Please note: I am specifically looking for original, human-created illustration. No AI-generated artwork or AI-assisted final designs. The stickers will be used for promotional, educational and branding purposes, so I’m looking for artwork that feels distinctive, warm, approachable and memorable rather than overly clinical. The subject matter will include bladder and bowel health, hydration and potentially friendly mascot-style characters representing things such as the bladder, kidneys and related themes. The overall direction should be cute, child-friendly and playful, while still being appealing enough for adults to use on water bottles, laptops, notebooks, packaging and other everyday items. I particularly love the warmth, character and visual storytelling found in the work of Mary Blair, Eric Carle, Leo Lionni, Richard Scarry, Tove Jansson, Quentin Blake, Axel Scheffler and Oliver Jeffers. I am not looking for copies of any individual artist’s work, but these give an indication of the type of charm, personality, colour, texture and character-led illustration I’m drawn to. The successful designer should ideally have: Experience creating character illustrations, cartoons, stickers, children’s illustration or playful branding A strong portfolio showing original illustrated work Proficiency in software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or Procreate An understanding of designing artwork suitable for professional vinyl sticker production The ability to work within an existing brand colour palette and visual identity Strong communication skills and a willingness to explore concepts and make revisions An understanding of preparing print-ready artwork, ideally including CMYK files, vector artwork where appropriate, bleed and cut lines I would like the finished collection to feel like a recognisable family of characters, rather than a group of unrelated sticker designs. Maintaining consistency in personality, proportions, colours and overall illustration style will therefore be important. Please include examples of relevant previous work when applying, particularly character design, children’s illustration, sticker design or illustrated branding. I would also love to hear a brief outline of your usual design process, including how you approach initial concepts, sketches, revisions and preparation of final artwork for print. The initial project would involve developing the visual direction and creating a small collection of sticker designs, with the potential for additional designs later if the collaboration works well. Please note: all artwork must be original and human-created. Generative AI must not be used to produce the illustrations, concepts, character designs, or final artwork for this project. As part of the design process, I will require: Initial rough sketches or concept development before final artwork is produced Evidence of the illustration process where requested, such as work-in-progress screenshots, sketch stages, or a Procreate time-lapse The original editable working files on completion, such as Adobe Illustrator, layered PSD, or original Procreate files Consistent character-model development, including the ability to reproduce the same mascot accurately across different poses and expressions For the main mascot, I may ask for a simple character turnaround or model sheet showing the character from several angles and in a number of poses. This is to ensure the design is genuinely reproducible and suitable for ongoing branding use. Flattened PNG or JPEG files alone will not be sufficient as final deliverables.

Hello Contest Holder, I understand you need a cohesive family of cute, playful and original sticker characters for a bladder and bowel health awareness campaign, balancing child-friendly warmth with an appeal for adults. We can develop distinctive mascot concepts with consistent proportions, expressions, colours and storytelling, then prepare professional vinyl-ready artwork with editable source files, print-ready setup and the required sketch/model-sheet stages, without using generative AI. I’ve understood everything about the project, and I have some ideas I’d like to tell and show you, along with a few questions. I’d like to discuss them directly with you. I’m waiting for your message.
