Nothing to afraid of. we many have completely removed the base color and replaced them with your given color. even did you checked mine Number #15 ? i placed both of them for a better distinguish for your eyes. i also brought out the natural texture that the red and yellow/orange color had before for the board. but if still anything knocking your eyes, then for sure i can remove that. just need your better judgment sir...

both the color codes that you have mentioned are the same i.e green color code. can i have the grey code also or should i take any code. :)
