- Original and creative ideas
- Memorable and cool
- Incorporates a graphic for idea(s) related to the event (geology, continental drift, petroleum exploration)
- A logo that can be inserted into a website, letter head.
- Logo whose colours can be easily adjusted to suit a variety of backgrounds.
- A graphic that is supplied in PSD, PDF and/or SVG format

For those people who have a basic understanding of geology, try putting a mid-Atlantic ridge in the logo somehow. I'm now decided I prefer the ACMC 2016 format. The full event name could still be put to the side somehow, as in AalianShaz's entry.
