I have recently started a wedding planning business which specialises in east meets west weddings. I specialise in bringing to life elegant, beautiful tailor made weddings for the Modern Chinese/Asian bride. Essentially I am a wedding planner who wants to bring double happiness ("hei") to couples. My background is Hong Kong and the Hong Kong wedding industry has been my main source of inspiration.

The english name of my company is Percarus Weddings. Percarus is a latin word which means "very loved" something which describes the feeling towards something that is very dear and precious.

I want the Chinese name to bring to life my company vision. Elegance and simplicity are two keywords that I want to build my company on. The more simple and easy things are the more behind the scenes work and effort that goes in. I want to bring to life people's dreams, I want them to lean on me, let me take their hand and lead them through the wedding preparation journey. I will never compromise on quality, so my market would be more skewered towards the high-end market.

The Chinese characters in the description of my picture cannot be displayed. Here I re-type it:

The Latin word "percarus" can be divided into two parts: "per" means "very" and "carus" means "dear" or "beloved". Wedding is just a turning point to a couple.

To maintain a harmonious marriage, "sincere" is highly needed. The Chinese character "摯" has such an implication, and of course "love" is also a vital element and that's why "愛" is included.

The Chinese phrase "非凡" implies the love between the two people is far beyond the ordinary one.

In Cantonese, "摯" sounds like "至", so "摯愛" sounds like "至愛", which means "the most beloved".

The Chinese character "摯" can be divided into two characters, "執" and "手". There is a saying "執子之手, 與子偕老", which is a blessing for the couple.

囍 = double happiness, a typical word for wedding in Chinese 摯 = the one, the love, sincere & warm. The word of 摯 = 執 + 手, 執子之手. The pronunciation of 摯 is also same as 至, means coming. Happiness is coming.
