Contest Brief
This contest entails creating a 5-10 second animation based on the following quote by NASA scientist Robert Jastrow:
"For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountain of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries."
The animation should capture the meaning of the quote in a humorous way. Simple line figures would be fine as long as the viewer can identify the characters (for example, a nerdy figure in a lab coat with the word 'reason', would identify the scientist; and the theologians should be wearing clergy robes etc). The scene should end with the theologians holding up a banner/flag/sign with the words of Genesis 1:1 (In the beginning, GOD created the heavens and the earth).
