Contest Brief

I need an icon for an Android app offering the following features:
- must be vector based
- must use all five Android colors (http://developer.android.com/design/style/color.html)
- should use colors in following order: blue, green, yellow, red, violet (slightly different order compared to above mentioned site. see also attached image)
- should use color gradient within the colors
- should approximately fill a square outline (more or less)
- should be attractive to main users of the app, which are male and 35+ years
- the app should be recognized as reliable, fast, useful
- would be nice if the icon is on a white square with rounded corners
- icon should also serve as kind of a logo for the app

The app scans a barcode and sends that id together with some other info to a server or to the internet and gets back appropriate text/image info which it then displays. The icon should "somehow" take that funkctionality and squeeze that into a nice professional design.

Would be nice if the design somehow uses 5 colored horizontal lines (see attachment) as a "starting point" (that stands for the input data within the app) and squeeze/rotate/transform that into "something that comes back form the server". Whatever that looks like.

Please also see the very rough idea as attachment. This is of course not a designers work. It shall show a basic idea of transforming the color bars into an arrow head. I would like a similar idea, but done professionally, more dynamic.

  One idea would be extruding the 5 color bars into color stripes which gather into an arrow head. Hard to explain... hope you can understand what I mean.
