Contest Brief
This is for the banner design, not creation. So you may submit a drawing or other for the design.
We are an ISV and will be posting applications and services on AppExchange.com. An example of what another vendors completed banner looks like is here: https://appexchange.salesforce.com/listingDetail?listingId=a0N300000058k9PEAQ You can visit Appexchange.com and after clicking "More" will then see what other vendors have created.
The specs for the banner read, "This banner is shown on your listing, summary page. You can upload a PNG file up to 1 MB. The image should be exactly 1200 × 300 pixels." PLEASE note that it must be 1200 X 300 px. If you make a different size it will automatically be stretched or compressed to fit that size so will not look right.
This is for the banner design, not creation. We will post a separate project to actually create the image files for the banner. If you can also create then its possible we will hire you for that also, but no guarantees. If you use specific pictures for the design, you need to include how and where we will obtain the pictures so we have the rights to use them. We do have a large image catalog but it is too large to post here. These are relatively generic color and b/w images so if that's what you are using, we likely have some here to use and/or can modify a bit.
If you are including our logo in the banner, we have uploaded a few here. We understand you may need to stretch or shrink these for your design and they may not look right. That is fine and will be adjusted when banner is created. We have included regular and transparent logos.
The banner is not the same as a logo. In other areas of Appexchange you see vendor logos, we have logos (attached here.) Below we have put some words and/or themes that might be applicable to this banner. Use as many or as few as you think necessary. We want the banner to convey the software and services we provide BUT also be generic enough that it is appropriate if we add something new tomorrow.

Don't have to make the small changes. Was looking more for concept. You don't have to submit more with same concept. We can do small tweaks when we pick winner.

That's the problem: you can't. Once the contest duration time expires, it changes status from "open" to "pending".
When a contest is "pending" the system does not allow to further post submissions.
Once you pick a winner, the contest goes into status "closed". During this period, all a designer can do, is transfer the winning design using the freelancer.com hand-over system. If at this stage you need more tweaking, there is no way for a designer to show you the tweaked designs, other than via direct email contact, which is against the rules on freelancer.com and puts designers at risk of having their accounts closed by freelancer for policy agreement infringement.- 10 years ago

But we left open the option of using this just as a design and developing the actual banner for another project depending on who wins. If we went that route, then we can modify as needed since that would be a different project.

the difference between 7 8 and 9 is the color in the center of the banner: 7-black 8-light blue 9-dark blue.

We provide primarily back office services such as customer service, surveys, etc. No medical services. Probably want to stay away from things like stethescopes, heart monitors, etc. While we primarily concentrate on the healthcare industry, no direct healthcare servcies.

We hope not to extend the contest. I know many people wait until the end so we will see what happens then. Just nationally. I think we should hold off on the flag idea though. We don't have an opinion on color so absolutely could be diff than logo. I just saw comment on eps. We don't have a layered logo at this time.

Freedom of color os good. Blues are neutral and soft and provide great opportunity for contrast.
I believe finalizing the banner is possible before end of contest, providing you remain available for Q&As.
I'm going to try a more photo-manipulated composition instead of 2-dimentional geometric-shape-based design graphics.- 10 years ago

Hi. Could you please specify the text content that goes on the banner? The example you provided from "appexchange" uses slogans to promote the company. A banner needs to be planned in terms of it's content, in order to establish position and proportion of the elements such as text, image, other graphics... So this information is crucial in order to get it started. It's very hard to shuffle things around in later stages, in order to accommodate additional elements which were not considered initially.

Sorry about this. We didn't get a notification that this was posted. The text content is up to the designer. We put a few words and themes in the posting that can be used to go with the design but it can really depend and is open.
