Contest Brief

Hello Designers and Friends,

UPDATE 3: I have increased the contest time and award. I would like to include an a unit that has a single elliptical base that spans both ground touch-points and is 2/3rds or 66% as wide as the unit is tall. Maybe something similar to this shape;

http://www.teacherfiles.com/clipart/shapes/clipart_oval_2.jpg

UPDATE 2: I like the multiple units. maybe you can do three set into a 90 degree right angle corner, all same size, and/or different sizes. another would be 2 units side by side with the curled sides toward each other, then the opposite, with the curled sides away from each other. maybe another would be a star formation with 3, 4, 5, 6 units(same and/or different sizes). or another would be lined up next to each other, same size or different sizes gradually getting smaller with enough space between them for a person. also, great if you added a 6 foot person to scale given the unit is 31.5 inches tall and 51.2 inches wide. can be stick man or anything simple.

UPDATE 1: The 2 bases need to be at the 2 points on the sculpture that touch the ground and flush or parallel with the ground.

I am looking for a Google SketchUp 3d design drawing similar to the one found in the attached Google SketchUp file "mounted-semi-circle.skp".

=================

EXCEPT for the partial circle pictured in the link above, I would like INSTEAD the form of the Fibonacci Spiral(aka Golden Mean Spiral), similar to the following link;

http://www.niceone.ie/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/fibonacci_spiral.jpg

=================
The tube diameter and base mountings should be exactly as shown in the mounted-semi-circle example. You can use as a starting point the mounted-semi-circle file provided. It is important that the EXACT relative proportions of the curve of the spiral are kept true to the Fibonacci Spiral. If you need an exact height of the scupture, you can use anything from 31 to 36 inches. More info on the Fibonacci Spiral can be found here;

http://e-tech.life.hyogo-u.ac.jp/kyouzai/ict-geo/1.1/1-1/1.1e.htm

The minimum deliverables are;

* 1 Google Sketchup file(.skp)
* 3 images(jpg or gifs)

To make life easier, I have attached the file to start with and named it mounted-semi-circle.skp.

Thank you.

    Yes, it is a simple tube structure with bases like the example file, the long side of the spiral will have a base that points outward, and the base on the curled side will have 2 bases adjoining and opposing each other to form a nice platform for the curve to rest on.

    Hello, I have looked into your details. Can you plz specify as to how would the final golden mean spiral look like? I mean do you have any ideas regarding the presentation or its just only the tube structure that the fellow freelancers are submitting? Plz let me know if you have any ideas in detail. Thanks.
