Contest Brief

My name is Andrew. I own an existing building in a small urban center called Jackson, Michigan USA. I am trying to convert the building from its current form into 9 street level townhomes. I have attached documents and images that will help you create the renderings.

One document is an old pdf elevation document which must be converted to autocam for measurement accuracy.

Another document is a DWG file of the interior spaces. Please note that 3 of the 9 units do not yet have floor plans. You must use your imagination for those units.

The building is one story only. The roof is flat. The building is made of brick and brick columns and its style and color must be matched in your rendering. I would like the rendering to be as realistic as possible.

The building is L-shaped. Because two sides butt up to existing City sidewalks on the south and east sides, each townhouse should be set back 3 to 6 feet, as possible, on the south and east sides. You only need to concern yourself with the south or east side, or even one unit on any side you choose.

The elevation drawing was originally done to make the entire building a commercial space. It shows a series of glass storefront windows. THIS IS NOT WHAT WE WANT NOW so get that out of your head. Instead, it is important to use the brick columns as the demarcation of each unit, and to add a door and windows to the front of the units. The wall containing windows and doors MUST NOT BE MADE OF BRICK. The new wall material should be something more easily acquired and assembled, like Hardie Board, or some kind of Stucco Board. It is OK to spend money on doors, windows, and fencing surrounding each unit, because I want to sell the units as a premium space.

This is a contest that is guaranteed to pay $100 to the winner. I know that good renderings take time, often much more time than $100. For that reason, you need not complete the renderings of this building. You only need to show that you have the best realistic solution for what my townhouse entrances should look like when constructed within the existing building. Concentrate on one side only. Or, concentrate on one unit only. Your choice.

Eventually, the winner will be asked to bid on renderings going forward to complete the job for sales purposes.

Good luck.

Hello dear contest holder i want to ask you if possible to downgrade the version to 2017 please so everyone will be able to open the .dwg file

About the rendering i want to start working on your contest but as you know to render a project you need to have a model of the project ( SKP , 3dsmax ..etc ) so you can render the project but as i can see you only have document and dwg plan . So to able render we need to model this project to something solid .

Do you have a 3d ready set of the project ? Thanks
