Contest Brief

Design a brand identity for our online, open-access, multidisciplinary, academic journal publishing company named 'Exhibit' that is developing a platform for publishing short format research articles that are written to engage a broad audience of readers from unrelated research fields, government, industry, to the general public. The mission is not only to make articles easier to access (as with existing open access journals) but also publish content that is easier to consume for the broader public.

The things we'd like to delivered as part of the brand identity / style guide (eg. [login to view URL], [login to view URL])
- logo
- colour palette
- fonts (e.g. computer modern)
- example supporting graphics for the style/theme (stock photos / graphics or whatever)
- landing page mockup
- brochure mockup

Here's a list existing academic journal brands as a starting point. We would like it to be more modern (saas web app style of things) than the usual academic journal brand, but still keep the professional formal styling (so something along the lines of [login to view URL])

Hi, the logo's look decent, to be honest they look more like they would suit a technology company rather than an academic journal publishing company (i.e. see reference sites). I like them as a start though, see my recent comment as well, if you could tweaked it towards the academia market and make a quick landing page mock up (to show styling) that'd be favourable from our perspective. thanks for the entries!

Hi everyone, we're thinking that entries that show a landing-page mock up would be favourable (even with dummy content) as that would contain ideas for all of the elements we'll need (color, font, graphical styling, images, etc.) and we'd be able to compare and contrast against our competitors. Happy to hear any ideas or opinions about that from the community :)
