Hi everyone,

If you have already submitted an entry, thanks a lot and they all look great. After thinking things over a little more I want to open this contest up to any animal mascot. If you are late to the game, here is what I am after:

I will be launching a new bargain based ecommerce site really soon and I want to have a hilarious cartoon mascot in various scenes and on multiple pages throughout the site. The site is going to have both new and used items. When the visitors see the mascot I want them to think of saving money, searching for the best deals, etc when they see the character.

I originally was thinking a buck deer because I thought it might be funny to have a play on words with saving some bucks (money) and having the character have buck teeth and named buck, but I think it might be even funnier to have a squirrel or another animal that is better associated with saving money etc. Not saying it has to be a squirrel though :) whatever you think is best suited to fit the description. I do think i want it to be an animal though.

Please include the character in a scene though if you will. maybe its working at a warehouse, driving a shipping truck, holding some money, buying something off the computer, etc. Something that you might see in a headline banner on an ecommerce site featuring something about the site. Give the character a name as well for the fun of it. I really like creativity.

I will be looking to hire the winning designer for an initial package (likely 10) of scenes featuring the character (as well as future scenes for the site) so think about what you charge for a package deal because if I like your designs I will likely be asking you prior to the project completion for what your rate might be.

For those already in the contest keep up the good work. I bumped up the prize money for you.

    Hey guys! great work to everyone. I just went through and rated my favorites (See the 4 stars). As you can see, I am looking for a character with a lot of personality, humor, and drawn with a high level of skill. The shadows/lighting, proportions must be right. Please keep submitting new characters and ideas. Again the main thing I want the visitor of my site to think of when they look at this mascot is saving money, getting the best deal, a penny pincher or tightwad type of person.....Would like to remind you that the winner of this competition will have opportunity for much more future work.     I just opened the contest up for any animal mascot character. See brief for more details. I may still end up choosing a deer but I want to allow for other creative ideas. A squirrel might be really funny. The main thing I want visitors to associate with the character is saving money, scavenging for deals, etc. I also bumped the prize money up. thanks again for all of the entries and keep up the great work!!!!
