Contest Brief

The subject of the contest is a design of a counter floor display - google this term for an explanation of what it is if you don’t know. The products that are to be presented on display are Japanese shampoos, conditioners, and masks (see product examples in attached files that can also be used for the project).

Japanese origin is a key – a design that has to emphasize it, most likely by easy-to-recognize symbols and cultural motives relevant to the brand and product.

The display is to be free-standing. The dimensions are not strictly defined, but due to the limited exhibition space, one square meter foot-print and 150 cm in height seem to be optimum.

The display is intended for the presentation of cosmetics in the drugstore chains. It should catch the eye, intrigue, and encourage the purchase of products while emphasizing the original origin. The display will be produced in many copies, so it would be good if it were designed from economical materials, such as printed and cut cartons.
