Contest Brief

Hi there. I'm looking to work with an experienced graphic designer on a very special project.

My team is making a special landing page for MakeLoveNotPorn.tv , and it's based around the city of Oxford.

It needs to be in-your-face, visually attractive, and fun.
The majority of the page will be text, our text - see the attachment for this. It needs to be large, in an engaging font.

[EDIT:] Our idea is to have the background as a black-and-white photo of a bed. The MLNP logo on one pillow, "#OxLove" on the other pillow.
The Duvet should have the text on it, with the same orange/Grey combo as their site. The text can be grey with certain words in orange to accent them. [/EDIT]

Below the text, I want social sharing buttons. Big, draw attention to them with some White text reading "Share This!".

But you're the designer! Make it look good, real good. I want you to be proud of it ;)

I'm looking to work with a talented designer until we get this right - extra bonuses may be in store.

Give me your best shot!

P.S. Attachents don't seem to work, so here is the text for the page:

[START]
Hey Oxford.

Hardcore pornography is a gross misrepresentation about how we have sex. Some women want cum on their face others don’t. Some people have time to bleach their asshole, some don’t. The point is sex, and how to do it, is not definable. It can be awkward, clumsy, yummy, messy, (insert adjective). It’s human experience - it’s what you want it to be. But as it stands there is an overwhelmingly singular definition transmitted by the porn industry. This isn’t a campaign against the porn industry: it’s an innovation of the porn industry.

In 2009, Cindy Gallop shared her idea with the world at TED. Over a million people listened. She wants the world to challenge the ubiquitous perception of sex. The sex revolution has already begun (link?). People around the world are makinglovenotporn, makinghotlovenotporn, makingcrazylovenotporn, makinglazymorninglovenotporn, and they’re getting paid, a lot, to submit their experience.

Let’s makeOXlovenotporn. You write essays, you write for societies, you write mundane emails – rewrite the porn narrative. How do OX students make love? Where is the most daring place that you can film having sex? RAD CAM? That will go viral! College MCR? That too. Want to protect your identity? That’s fine. Buy a mask, or better still a costume, from that Fancy Dress shop off Turl Street, you know the one everyone goes to PREBOP. You upload. We host. People rent. You get 50% of the proceeds. Sound good? Which part? Getting paid to have sex or being an internet sensation?

Check out the global project @ makelovenotporn.tv

Happy Loving!

by the way. If it's about love, passion etc I guess you need more colour in it, more red, more life. Current designs honestly look like crap. Graveyard services ? :)

Hahaha I like it. Red and colour is a good idea, however we decided we wanted a bed instead of a kissing couple so that we're not restricting it to only man/woman relationships. And really, the text is more important than the image - see what you can do!

Hey. The design is okay - but the text is quite hard to read because it's just directly over the photo. If you look at Moesaif, he solved that with a barrier.

But no matter. Our design team has come up with another idea now, and we want to compare it to the results of the first one. See the edited brief and put your time into making one that fits that! Also there's the social buttons to include as well.

Large - the text is the main feature of the page. It needs an attractive (web-based) font, and should fill the middle of the page to about the same width the comment bar of this Public Clarification board.

Hey Moesaif, I see the bug - I've copied the text into the design brief itself. Thanks for raising this point!
