Contest Brief

I am looking for a modern and innovative designed LOGO for my Apparel company called John Marc. A logo that people will see once and never forget, at the same time want to know more about what it stands for. As far as colors go, i'm leaning toward gold & black. But i'm very open to what makes the design look as professional as possible. I want it to be very simple, but says that we are a very high end modern brand. I would like for everyone to pitch in their most creative ideas and i will pick the best one possible. Thank you in advance and this will not be my last design for the chosen designer. Good Luck!
