In this assignment demonstrate/represent on a poster three significant, important, compelling and/or troubling experiences, ideas and/or themes that express your experiences as a Multiracial Person; the experience of a significant other who is a Multiracial Person; or a Multiracial Person in popular culture. By Multiracial Person, as we have defined it in our class, I mean someone who is/was in an interracial romance/friendship; is/was a child of an interracial relationship; and/or is a transracially adopted person. I impose no structure on the piece except that it demonstrate rigorous effort in in its organization, finish and clarity. The poster can be no less than 18 in by 24 in (this is pretty small and I would suggest bigger). The poster must use visual images (photos, drawings, images from the virtual or printed world), the written word (poems, songs, words) and/or relevant objects that can fit on the surface to convey the Multiracial Experience.
In addition to the poster you are also required for this assignment to choose four quotes from the literature we have read from class and explain how your chosen quotes are related to the themes, ideas and/or experiences expressed in your poster. You can choose no more than two quotes from each source. This part of the poster assignment should be no less than 2 double spaced pages.
Format: must be typed using a font size 12, Times New Roman, double-spaced, in black ink, with the student's name, title, the name of the assignment, and the date the assignment is due on the top of the first page.
