I'm very excited by this project! My team is opening a series of dispensaries in Oregon and California. We are looking to make a "brand" out of particular venues for acquiring medical cannabis.
We have the name Hippocannabis. Let me give some back story on Hippocannabis. I am a neuroscience researcher interested in memory, and the effects of cannabis on our memory systems.
The main "hub" for memory in the brain is a region known as the hippocampus. This region was so named due to its elongated shape that has a resembelance to a sea-horse, whose genus is Hippocampus. "Hippocampus" comes from the Ancient Greek hippos meaning "horse" and kampos meaning "sea monster".
We think the name Hippocannabis is quite clever and fun!
That being said, in order for us to pick a successful logo, we would like the following things to be met:
1- The logo must have the name Hippocannabis in clear distinct view. We will be using this logo for a banner that will be atop the store as well. So, it should be something that looks good on both a business card and on a store-front.
2- Should be at least somewhat professional. We want to stay away from cartoons and bubbly text and such.
3- Should cleverly intertwine the concepts of neuroscience, cannabis, and seahorses. Not necessarily all 3. A brain made out of marijuana "buds" would be equally as likely to win as a seahorse with its tail wrapped around a marijuana flower. We are striving for something extremely creative that takes a significant amount of time and thought to develop. Something where the image will stand as a piece of art in and of itself, be memorable for our customers, and convey the purpose of our business and brand!
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Please definitely feel free to ask as many questions as possible.
“gave many revisions after the handover was already completed. great freelancer with an eye for subtleties. That\'s what counts. Thanks for the clean and professional, but deep logo!”
