     Hello - with Freelancer.com's Contests, there is no bidding process. The contest winner receives the full amount as promised in the contest. There are no second or third place awards either. The risk is all on the graphic designer, but the contest amount is guaranteed to the winner. Freelancer has a lot of info on this in their support areas - just look under the help menu.

  I have received several designs that include palm trees and a very tropical feel. Please note that this resort is in the north central part of North America - there isn't a palm tree within 2400 km of here! This is a northwoods area with pine trees, spruce trees and lots of lakes and rivers. There are no mountains here either, only hills. Hope this helps!

  @macarook - although the resort name "Anchor Inn Resort" is not required to be in the logo, I believe it makes good sense to be part of it. I leave it to the designers choice as I do not want to limit your creativity.
