Contest Brief

We're a new start-up, from Brazil.
We focus on writing the best screenplays for our clients in Film, TV and new media. The start-up is called Escritório de Roteiros Imaginários.

The main principle of this company is that we care about stories. So, we can create the most incredible screenplays.

Right now, we are really concerned about the image of the logo. We thought about a cool typewriter and a ballon.

I'm sending attached an rough idea of how our logo should be (but not in black, actually). But feel free to use your imagination.

Maybe we're looking for a logo that could be seen more like an illustration.

Don't have to rush, take your time.
Use your creativity and welcome aboard!

Yes. Something like Office of Imaginary Screenplays, that's the name of the startup.

As far as the translation for Escritório - is that suppose to be offices or screenplays?

Hi AnaCZ, thanks for asking. Look, our main concern is to use the logo both, printed and also in film credits. So, the ideal logo could be useable both in black and white screen. Our main thought would be to use some logo inspired in the illustration attached (this kind of typewriter and the ballon). Thank you for your hard working :)

When you say "balloon", you mean a speech/thought bubble, right? Not an air balloon, right?

Oi pikneo, please see movie credits shot in #21 . I uploaded this shot to address a concern about the logo requirements, which is the following: have you thought about how the logo (illustrative typewriter, balloons, long company name) would look on a movie credits screen like the one shown in #21 ? I see how the concept of the illustration can be delightful on print, but I think it could be problematic in other different media and settings. Also, too much detail in the logo will get lost when the logo is applied in very small scale, making it impossible to discern the illustration. What are your thoughts on this and do you have solutions for these cases.

Obrigada pelo convite. Bastante difícil o tema. Se me surgir uma ideia boa e que valha a pena eu entro. Há quanto tempo existe a vossa empresa?

Sorry about the language guys. It was nothing important, otherwise I would have wrote it in English. If you have any suspicion, feel free to use Google Translate.
