Contest Brief

We require a new logo for our translation agency www.PremierFocus.com. Our company provides translation services into all major languages for a variety of products (documents, website, software, packaging, etc.). We are currently going through a rebranding, which means our name will change to "Premier Focus Translations".

Contest specs:
- Design a new vector logo for us with the name "Premier Focus Translations"
- The word "Translations" needs to stick out/be prominent in the design
- Values that need to be communicated with the logo: Quality, Integrity, Sophistication
- Colours chosen should be in line with the values mentioned above
- Design elements we like: shadows, rounded corners
- We would like you to include an easily recognizable icon or shape. This icon/shape should have something special and unique about it - maybe something that can be a discussion point when networking. Please do NOT include stereotypical images from our industry, which would include: globes, flags and keyboard keys with foreign characters.
- We would prefer the icon/shape to be square or round, so as to be able to fit into social media profile pictures.

Upon completion of this design contest additional work may be expected for designing business card, Facebook banner, marketing materials, etc..

Good evening everyone! The last few entries were all very well done - with the right colour combination and with some fun new ideas. We like the idea of using typographic symbols as a logo image! Anyone that still has steam left in them, feel free to propose another design before the contest closes on Saturday! And please remember: the word "Translations" is what needs to be clearly visible and pronounced, so people can see at a glance what we do!

Thank you to all the talented designers that are participating in our contest! Here is some more feedback for anyone who still wants to submit entries in this last week: 1) We like the black/blue/white colour combinations submitted so far. 2) We enjoy when the colours are not just plain, but have a bit of a shading or gradient to them. 3) We are trying to stay away from camera lenses, crosshairs and glasses for symbols as they remind us of other industries. 4) Last challenge is for someone to think of an image that immediately reminds someone of "foreign languages" or "written translations". We know that this is a tricky task indeed... We look forward to the remaining entries! Thank you so much!

Good morning everyone! We were excited to find so many more entries today and we thank all of you for your diligent efforts. We appreciate it very much! We've seen various entries now with abstract images or symbols beside the logo and those are nice. What would really get us excited though is to find an image that relates to our industry and that is easily recognizable. Someone has worked with a "feather" to show the connection to "writing". Someone else used a "book" and we've also seen a magnifying glass to relate to the "Focus" in our name. These are good ideas! May we ask to see some other recognizable images with our name? Thank you *very* much in advance! We enjoy the talent you share here. Well done!
