Hello!

I need a logo for a travel related website. The site is called voyva.com

The name is a combination of 'voyage' and 'v.a.' (virtual assistant) as the whole idea of the website is to save you time and find you the information you need for your voyage... much like a virtual assistant.

I don't have anything too specific in mind, but it needs to be quite minimal, clean and stylish. It should be the name combined with some kind of graphic. Or maybe a graphic/image within the text itself.. like negative space or whatever it's called! The graphic/image can represent travel or maybe something a bit abstract. Nothing too 'cartoony' though.

Nothing specific in mind for colours, but needs to work on both a white or a black background, ideally. In-keeping with the stylish, minimalist look I'm going for... nothing multi-coloured or too garish.

Needs to have a transparent background and be in PNG and .AI or .EPS

If you've already submitted an entry then there's no need to keep submitting loads of different versions. I'll give feedback on the ones I like so you're not firing in the dark and it will save you making a bunch of different versions on the off chance I might like them. Thanks for your entries. The ones I'm leaning towards are the ones that contain some kind of airplane. I also like the fact that even without colours, you can tell what they are... so if it was a stencil or even if the logo was all one colour, you could still tell it's a plane or whatever it is. If that makes sense?!

I like blue, but it doesn't have to be blue, I'm open to trying different colours. The fonts are pretty good in most of them. I like sans serif fonts that are quite clean and minimal... so Century Gothic, Myriad Pro, Nexa, Futura, anything along those lines. Might be nice to try the name in capitals as well... apart from the 'O' all the letters are very symmetrical, so I think capitals could work well.

These are just some ideas though... I'm no design wizard!

And no logo templates from GraphicRiver or other stock sites please. I would have just bought one from there if that was the way I wanted to go!

Thanks for the entries so far. Not interested in hiring an individual designer for this at this stage (that's why it's a contest!), so no need to submit work you've completed previously. Once there's a few entries in (probably tomorrow or something) I'll give everyone feedback on what I like and what I don't like. Just for starters though, No.2 is definitely along the right lines... not too cluttered, nice use of colours, pretty stylish.

  But please don't copy or let that dictate the design. The last thing I want is 100 entries that all have a plain with some jets coming out the back! It just gives an example of the kind of styles I like, but I'm open to anything that looks stylish.
