Contest Brief

We are looking for a new logo design that looks both MODERN and PROFESSIONAL. Our current logo is basically our name in Cooper Black either in a combination of upper & lower case letters or all uppercase, but you are welcome to experiment with all formatting types - font, character spacing, italic or not, upper or lower case, or a combination, colours, curves, reflections, symbols etc - think outside the square!
I have attached our current logo and another that isn't too bad, but not quite right. Please don't use AG as if it is THE major part of our name; Ag-Crete is one word, not two.
I look forward to some good designs!

  Interesting concept, however we're looking for a logo that can cover both civil & agricultural industries, perhaps with a colour change (i.e. perhaps green with agricultural & blue with civil or maybe a colour combination), the city silhouette doesn't go with agricultural products.

  Yes, you're quite right. What happened was that the money was evenly distributed to all those whose entries weren't rejected. The reason we didn't choose a winner was that none of the entries were what we were/are looking for, and it was a waste of money. As a result of that we have re-posted it with a higher amount in the hope of getting more professional entries, and would gladly award the money to what we consider a worthy entry.
