Design a Logo for Beer Company
- Status: Closed
- Prize: $100
- Entries Received: 85
- Winner: SzalaiMike
Contest Brief
The company name is "BrewerBox LLC" and it boxes homebrewing supplies in a box and ships them to members. Colours to use are up to the designer and I would like the logo to work in multiple device formats. e.g.
------
BrewerBox LLC
-------
BrewerBox
-------
Our vision:
We want the design to be slightly abstract and fun. We like throwback around the 1950's logos, neon signs, bold and interesting.
The font will need to be legible on tshirts, pint glasses, beer growlers, and other things.
Examples of great designs:

*EDIT*
We are seeing a lot of thematic elements that we like, and some not so much.
Some suggestions...while many of you are choosing to include elements like grains, mugs with foam pouring over them, and script that is highly stylized (like Gothic fonts and mirrored "B's"), we are concerned about visibility and legibility in our logo. We feel like there is a lot of 'noise' in many designs we are getting, with different thematic elements of the designs drawing attention from the name in the logos. We are not necessarily saying that our choice has to be a circle with "Brewerbox" in it as our logo, but if you choose to include non-text elements within the designs, please make them a complimentary part of the logo, and not of greater size and emphasis than the name within the logo. Please feel free to keep modifying your designs...and do go a little outside the box. Choose some interesting color combinations (football team kit color combinations, basketball team color combos, your favorite t-shirt's color combinations, whatever)...we don't want things that hurt the eyes to view, but the design certainly does not necessarily need to have just green, brown, tan, and yellow in it to receive consideration.
Thank everyone for their time, we do not have time to get back to every design with feedback, but we are very much appreciative of the time spent by all artists on their submissions.

Hi contest holder, can you clarify more your brief? base on your brief something you like neon colors but base here on the board you said that more vintage colors. Something clean and simple, right? Base on my entries from colors to badge type and font is vintage. Can you give more clearer vision you want? Thanks

Hi Hamada982,
We think it's a good start but looking for something a little abstract from a beer mug or beer bottle... something clean and simple. In the 1950s the logos and signs have the name with flat color and a image, sometimes a border and sometime the image is related to the product but sometimes it's not. We'd like the logo to look great printed in color or black and white, so probably no complex textures or designs.
Thanks!

Actually you have no idea what you want. Read again your brief. Your contest its a waist of time. Buy some labels in bulk change the words and thats it...you have your logo.

Hi Gogugoguta,
Sorry if it's confusing. We're trying to allow for real creatives to take a vintage/1950's concept and make it their own. We opened a contest to see what concept are available. Let me know if you have any questions.

We don't want things in neon sign graphics. It was just an example that most signs had neon to them back in 1950's for people to see them at night but so look past the neon and look at the graphics.
Thanks!- 12 years ago

Hey all!
Thanks for the quick responses but we're not seeing anything of great quality yet. #4 , #31 , and #21 have promise.
We don't necessarily need images of beer... checkout the links to 1950's logos and think of awesome 1950's neon signs and branding. We want something that is timeless.
No clipart stuff, please.
