Contest Brief

This contest is to design a logo for "Inklyng", a website for online education and learning (the name is from the word "Inkling"). The design should be simple and modern. Colors: Blue (yellow and/or green optional); otherwise, rainbow is ok. Include a logo/symbol which can be used for website and app icon. The attached files show examples of designs we like.

In general, we are looking for designs that resemble the iOS 7 or "Metro" styles. The "Skype" icon is an example of a simple, friendly icon that works for an app symbol. Please also feel free to get inspiration from some of the sample logos we've included in the contest brief.

"Inklyng" is a variant spelling for "inkling". Inkling comes from the idea of "a half written letter" and means something like "the beginning of an idea", a suggestion, or hint. Our real goal as an education company is to give users a place to begin forming knowledge. We'd love to see more logos and symbols that reflect this idea. It is not a requirement, however. Many submissions submitted so far have very distinct and recognizable themes that are receiving great consideration.
