Contest Brief

Mill Park Community Care is a professional counselling service in partnership with Mill Park Baptist Church. We would like our service to be place of peace for people going through their own difficult trials, as described below...

- We recognise that life is challenging and that out of our circumstances and our humanness arise issues of mental health, trauma and abuse, relationship breakdown, financial struggles, addiction, poor sense of self, grief and loss, and many other challenges that affect our day-to-day living. We aim to provide compassionate, holistic and professional counselling for individuals, couples and families.
- We believe that the world around us is hectic, often chaotic and that each of us has an innate desire for a source of peace and wholeness in the midst of what can feel an unsettled reality. We believe that Christ embodies that peace. Therefore, we seek to partner with him by being Christlike, compassionate and peace-loving.

Our logo needs to communicate a sense of peace, similar to the concept of the "eye of the storm", but not limited to that concept either. It would be great if "MPCC" or "Mill Park Community Care" could somehow feature in the logo. Please refer to our website www.millparkcommunitycare.org.au for an idea of what we're all about and to www.millparkbaptistchurch.org.au to see what our connected church is all about (you'll find the existing church logo there as well, which inspired our colour scheme).

I've attached some sample design ideas to get the ball rolling... We like the "eye of the storm" or the MPBC "leaves" with the people in the foreground... so far!

  nilankohalder.. you can't say that to a client... learn something from this experience, buddy.. the client really doesn't care how you produced that design, drew it or scanned it, takes 2 or 3 days.. it's not their business, it's your job to make the best design for them :) hope the best for you..

I think I've moved away from the eye of the storm idea (because it won't work with the green) and am leaning toward the leaf logo with the people on it.

Thanks to those who have submitted samples already!

So far I like numbers 9, 7, 5, and 4 - colours and simplicity are great (not too busy). I'm still deciding whether to incorporate the "leaves" or not... I don't mind 18 and 13, but the people are a bit too bright and too many colours.

I'd like to stick to a two-tone palate.
