General Info:
We would like to create a logo for our boutique consulting firm. The logo will need to work on the website, print materials, powerpoints, etc. (all to be developed at a later date) We are looking for clean, simple, modern and a little bit edgy conveying that our firm is serious yet creative in our approach.

Company Name: Blue Moon Consulting Group
Tagline: Proactive Reputational Risk & Crisis Management

Initially the logo will always appear with its tagline. However, over time we may phase that out so the company name part of the logo needs to be able to work as a stand alone logo. Likewise, if the logo is primarily horizontal, a vertical version will need to be developed as well for this project to ensure that it can be used in a variety of situations.

Background Info:
As defined by Wikipedia, a blue moon is an extra full moon that appears in a subdivision of a year, either the third of four full moons in a season or, recently, a second full moon in a month of the common calendar. Metaphorically, a "blue moon" is a rare event, as in the expression "once in a blue moon".

In line with this definition, Blue Moon Consulting Group helps organizations proactively protect and defend their corporate reputation when faced with an unlikely but possibly catastrophic crisis. In addition, and ideally, we help organizations avoid crisis altogether through proactive planning, issue identification and incorporation of reputational risk into decision-making.

Notes:
In developing the logo, please avoid anything too cutsie or “precious.” The logo should be simple, serious but a bit edgie and will need to work in a variety of mediums—online, print, etc.

We played around with a few ideas (we’re not designers!!!) and noted a couple of logos that we feel are ok to give you a sense of the direction we are thinking. That said, we are open to other ideas and approaches…

Details:
• We like the idea of incorporating a rich, jewel-toned blue for a corporate color and had considered making the blue moon a Japanese calligraphy-style brush stroke in a blue/black color. (this again, is just guidance on what we were toying with…)
• All images must be original and owned free & clear.
• Logo background must be transparent as it will be used on a variety of backgrounds.
• Upon accepting, you must provide .jpeg & PSD (layered, non-flattened completely editable) & all font names
