We are a high-end real estate firm in New York City. We are seeking both a design of our name, "Botensten Properties International", for the website. And a logo - "BPI" (or just "B") - for apparel and marketing pieces - that's up to you.

MUST submit BOTH the design and logo! ie Google has it's website design and a "G" as it's logo. We're looking for "Botensten Properties International" for the web, and "BPI" as our logo.

Design (for website): "Botensten Properties International" - maybe have "Botensten Properties" on one line and "International" below it.
Logo (for apparel): "BPI" or just "B"
Color: Light, vibrant colors (no black, avoid grey's)
Font: Web 3.0, masculine, friendly
Who we are: trustworthy, reliable, knowledgeable, strong/strength
Industry: High-end Real Estate Professional
Location: Manhattan, New York

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT - COLOR UPDATE! ! !

I attached a screenshot of the three colors, above, on "THE BRIEF".
Of the 3 colors, the logo (BPI) AND lettering (Botensten Properties International) MUST include include one, two, or all three colors - preferably two.

You'll notice:
1. Grey "dot"
2. Blue "chat"
3. Orange "xxx"

Update January 12th:

1. Have the wording "Botensten Properties International" alongside the logo (to the right), NOT underneath it
2. Don't use the color red at all
3. If your logo was eliminated, don't give up - we've received so many, it's easiest to for us to have only the Top 15 visible to us
4. Experiment with putting a box around the logo "BPI"
5. We will review all logos, please don't post here

What we've like:
1. Professional, tight font on both the logo (BPI) and lettering (Botensten Properties International)
2. Only two colors throughout
3. Simple to remember, print on marketing materials - don't make it too complex
4. You don't need "BPI" in the logo - try some with just "BP"

Update 1/10/14:

1. I switched it to blind contest so have at it - make it original - make it unique - your design cannot be copied
2. Add in a few designs with boxes around the "BPI"
3. For the lettering "Botensten Properties International", have it clean font, professional colors

Hello all - please be conscious to respect other peoples designs. Many are coming in looking the same. Originality will win - like #189 and #536. Try different shapes like #391. Different colors like #504. Different is better. Further update tomorrow!

UPDATE:

Colors: keep it light, but no more than two - try some grey's as well (no black nor red)
Font of the "BPI" logo: keep it professional and rigid like #373, #284, #387 - no more big, round circles for the "B"
Check out the ones that I rated and have kept. Love them!

GREAT JOB! Here is an update on what's we like so far...

Colors: no red. Light colors are best. Having the grey lettering in #201 is nice. Like the coloring is #189 and #300
Lettering "Botensten Properties International": #230 has the most professional lettering. Very clean. I like the "International" in #81
Logo "BPI": none really stood out. Having the dot for the "I" isn't appealing. The most creative one will win. Incorporate the "BPI" but don't make it too complex or busy. The best logo thus far is #300.

  Hi. The benefit is that you would have more 'original' ideas that would be provided. There is a tendency for designers to copycat designs and replicate the same based on ratings from the CH. When all the work is sealed, designers are likely to rely on their own skills and 'imagination'. I realize there is an additional cost, but considering the amount being warded for this contest, it would be worth the investment. Thanks. Mona

  The flip side of sealing a contest though is that many designers take advantage of this and use images, ideas and designs straight off the net and pass them off as their own. Unless you have lots of time to browse and make sure your not getting a copied design, keeping the contest unsealed is a sure fire way to ensure you get an original design as other freelancers will report a copied design to you.
