Contest Brief

I'm starting a new Music School (teaching children violin, cello, flute etc) and am looking for a new Logo!

- It will be used on the website (screenshot attached), t-shirts, leaflets, stickers and flyers
- It should look good in white (for use on solid colours/shades) so 1 - 2 colors. Please limit them to White, Black and Shades (Greys)
- I really like flat designs which looks illustrative and not "blocky", see attached files for examples of logos I like and dislike
- The words 'Pelican Music' are optional but would preferably be in a cursive font
- I'm not keen on anything "Cartoony", although it's for children
- Vector art which can be resized easily and still look clean is a must

Essentially I would like something simple and classy but artistic, potentially using a pelican motif (example attached).

We've just been through and rated all the submissions so far and provided feedback to the majority of them as well.

All in all, some great submissions so far and hopefully the ratings give everyone (and newcomers to the contest) a much better idea of the kind of things we like.

We're keeping this open for the full length of the competition but will revisit to rate and feedback each day. Good luck!

Some of these are great, we're going through designs each evening this week to rate them and provide feedback - we're not ignoring you!

Just FYI - I've added another clarification, vector designs which can be resized easily are a must, some of these look great, but I'm not sure I could enlarge them very much without losing quality. For those which already meet this criteria, brilliant, +50 internet points to you.

I've updated the brief slightly - not too keen on the blues and the "Flat" designs look much cleaner.
