Contest Brief

I need a professional-quality logo for my consulting firm, Point Lima. I attached a file for reference of what I have now, and as you can see there is a good deal of room for improvement. The logo doesn't tell much of a story except for the "X" in the middle that references the first part of the company's name.

The logo will be used for everything from business cards to documents to large signs, so vector graphics that will maintain clarity across all sizes is critical.

I would prefer black lettering with red in the middle, but I would like the option of using different color lettering, such as white, if black doesn't work with the surface.

I would like the design to remain close to the original, but I am open to suggestions and I encourage you to be as creative as you wish.

I don't want shadowing.

I don't want something complex - simple and clean is best. The design should look professional in all sizes.

The files must be in all popular file formats that are acceptable for print companies and uploading to product sites.

I need all source files.

at this point according the ratings almost the entire first page are good, but they are all different...so whats the point to rate everyone excellent if none of them known how good is going his logo . Wondering how you will determm wich one is best the first five are all rated top of stars , all win ? =P Cheers
