Contest Brief
I am working on a new website (sexhead.net.au) that is an Australian website focusing on sexual identity, culture and spreading awareness for existing sexual education organisations. I am looking for a simple design that is based on the phrase 'the birds and the bees' - for example, the logo will consist of a bird and a bee together.
Ideally, the design will be a solid colour or two colours, for clarity. If colours are used, I would like them to be from the blue or blue/green palette. Grey is also acceptable. It will be on a white background, and will be able to fit within a square shape.
I am looking for a simple, clean logo. I do not want the logo to be comical or cartoonish. I do not want too much detail in the logo. The winning entry will be an interesting design of simple lines.
This image will be used in the promotion of the website, on twitter and facebook feeds, on business cards and in email signatures, as well as any other future branding exercises. The logo will need to be in SVG format as well as JPG.
I do NOT want it to include the words SexHead, just a simple logo without text.
UPDATE: Thank you to everyone that has submitted so far. I would just like to add a few things - here are some hex codes of examples of the colours I am interested in. These are NOT mandatory, but I thought they would help for your own ideas.
#2E5894 - Blue
#0D98BA - Blue/green
#3EB489 - Green
#708090 - Grey
The only other feedback I have is that some submissions have contained pictures of what seem to be wasps or hornets. Unfortunately, the symbol is a too far away from the phrase 'birds and the bees', so I won't be accepting anything that could be seen as an animal other than a bee. Abstract bees are ok thought.
Again thank you for all the submissions so far.
