Contest Brief

Here's the concept behind SIGN:
- SIGN is a citizens' platform for participatory democracy in Europe.
- On SIGN's platform any European citizen can support European laws drafted by other citizens.
- These are also known as European Citizens' Initiatives (ECI)
- In order for a citizens' draft law (ECI) to become a real European law it need 1 million signatures in 1 year throughout Europe.
- SIGN's first role is to help the ECIs to raise funds to be used for the campaign (crowdfunding, fundraising etc.)
- SIGN also helps the ECIs to collect the signatures.

We are looking for a logo that reflects the following:
- citizen empowerment (crowdfunding)
- change and movement
- digital and modern
- professional and young

The format of the logo:
- Le logo must be in Dark Violet colour. (rgb code: 632c88; r: 99 g: 44 b: 136)
- The signature of the logo is: "Dare your Ideas" and should be displayed with the logo
- Don't hesitate to be bold and creative!

We will be commenting actively on the propositions!

  I didn't say that I would provide replies to everyone either. We have received some 200 ideas and I thank everyone for their creativity ! However some of the suggestions are not at all what we are looking for so I prefer to concentrate on those who are already going in the right direction.

  The main colour is the one mentioned in the description and should be dominant. But of course if you feel like adding a detail in another colour feel free.

Hi everybody!

Here a first feedback on what has been made until now.

#3 is too commercial - it makes us think of Pepsi... Try to think that we are empowering and helping citizens rather than selling a product. It should be professional yes, but also talk to citizens and be somehow interactive/showing change and movement. But I do like the fat letters.

#2 is not professional enough I would say, maybe due to the font that reminds us of century gothic and that there's no original detail/touch?

We like the originality of #1. Especially the violet template (it's that colour we are aiming for!). We have no specific comment to make here, but it's not exactly it yet...

The font can be in capital letters and small letters. no requirements here. Don't hesitate to experiment :)
