Contest Brief

This is an overview of the program that I need a logo for. I'd like a 1 color version and a multi-color version of the same logo. It should include the word "TherapyVets" in the logo. A silhouette or partial silhouette of a German Shepherd can be included. Something with a military theme would be good, but not required.

Mission:

Engage and empower veterans with a continued desire to serve their communities through a coordinated therapy dog program. TherapyVets pairs veterans with rescue dogs and builds the handler(adopter)/dog relationship through training geared toward enabling the team to provide therapy dog services to others in the community.

Specific to Charlottesville, VA area to start, launch date around 1 March.

Goals:
1) Pair therapy-abled SGSR dogs (or dogs from like-minded rescue groups) with qualified veterans in the Charlottesville, VA and surrounding areas for the purpose of providing therapy dog services to the community.
2) Provide training courses and therapy certification for handler/dog pair, including necessary equipment and registrations.
3) Organize regular engagements for handler/dog teams in community.
4) Organize regular training/handling seminars for handler/dog teams.
4) Provide rescue dogs, training services and equipment through grants and private donations, at no cost to the handler (adopter).
