Contest Brief

The name of my company is Ballistic Industries.

**I am looking for a symbol that people will associate with my business, not just the name of my business in a cool font**
**Do not copy or use the image that I have attached. This is only a guideline, and if I wanted to use this in my logo, I wouldn't be here asking for concepts!**

I will be selling gun parts, and will be doing some product development on some AR15 design concepts. Additionally, I will be doing firearms training for NRA courses and Conceal Carry Permits.

The core of what I want to convey is that we are modern, new age, tactical, and precise. We aren’t your grandfather’s lever action rifle company, and we’re not Joe Bob’s machine shop. I am focused on big, bad, scary black rifles. We are modern and high end. A lot of my business will be importing initially, but my next focus will be developing custom AR-15s from scratch.

Logos I like:

I really like the branding that Magpul.com has done. These guys are huge in the industry and have spent some serious marketing dollars. I am not in love with their logo, but I really like the branding concept that they have created. I think this is one company that has captured the vision of modern shooters, and the core of my customer base.

80 is pretty cool also, except it needs to be just the bullet, not the unfired casing.

  What I liked about 76 is that it's a logo that can be used independently of the company name. That said, I am not super excited about just a bullet in crosshairs as the logo. I didn't like that 77 was a trigger. I don't think that is a great logo. Keep the ideas coming though, we're onto something now.

I am not running a company aimed at killing people or bringing about the apocalypse. Please focus on symbols that can be used as an identifier for my business. The word Nike isn't anywhere in the Nike Swoosh symbol, but everyone knows exactly what it is when they see it.
