Contest Brief

I'm looking to make my website http://satwcomic.com/ more vibrent and interesting, while keeping the white and blue theme.
The website is a comic about countries and how they interact.
Our viewers are mostly 18-24, 50/50 male/female.

It's important that the area around each page's comic strip is white.
It's also important that the text under each page's strip is close to the strip's image.
It's important that the design is dynamic and not fixed width.

I'm fond of flat elements, example: http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/360/a/b/flatastic_ui_kit_by_darkstalkerr-d6zgnut.jpg , but would like them to be more comic themed.

Key page elements:
- The comic strip
- The strip's text info
- Social links
- Adverts: top banner, left skyscraper, mid square
- Next, previous, start, newest, more, random, navigation buttons

We use a navigation bar that sticks to the top. It would be nice to keep this, but not essential.

The site is currently a bit too bland and could do with some life and colour to liven it up.

If your design is good I'm fine with Photoshop. I'd prefer HTML/CSS, as it saves a step.
