Contest Brief

We wish to create another website similar in business to but not in design/layout and not necessarily in functionality to our current website: contractmint.com. Need a design plus website implementation. If you are only submitting the design, kindly state so. We welcome either the design-only or full design-implementation, kindly quote accordingly.

Design must be STRONG and CREATIVE as this website caters to designers and creative professionals. Human elements are important as we need to showcase that the contracts are legally air-tight but written for creative professionals who are people who are not so concerned about legalese.

Basic Website Inclusions:
- landing page including banner x1

- contract download pages x8
- contract ecovers x8
- free eguide download page x1
- blog roll page
- faq page x1
- terms page x1
- contact us page x1
- sitemap page x1
- logo x1, favicon x1

Additional Requirements (if Full Design-Implementation):
- customized theme on WP
- seo friendly design
- system for secure download of individual contracts after payment (pref paypal)
- installation of plugins for: seo, anti-copy, social bar, promo code for shopping cart
- captcha secured contact wp plugin

Milestones (if Full-Design-Implentation):
Week 1: draft 1
Week 2: draft 2 & final draft
Week 3: implementation
Week 4: launch, testing, sign-off

Perhaps to help you see what is preferred: Entry #7 is the front runner because of the bold contrasting colors and he has bothered to create icons which actually look like documents and not something out of an iphone. #6 is good because there are many colors which appeal to creative professionals but still looks like an app store. #4 is good for the color appeal but the colors/text are super clashing causing uncertainty to the viewer what the site is about

I need the design files. Some designers are offering design+installation for $500. Others design files only $500, installation $200. All these will be taken into consideration: cost vs aesthetics/functionality

D. some sites look like travel sites or app stores -- which leaves me thinking that you had designed - YES: a travel site or an app store for somebody else and decided to try your luck here; look guys: I will only award the project to the person who actually bothered to customize the banners, images, icons etc for this purpose and nothing something can serve as a travel site, app store, clean tech company website, law firm website, .... etc. I need it such that: ONE LOOK and there is no mistake this site sells contract templates and cannot possibly for anything else

Please take what I say as feedback and in a positive, constructive manner.

B. some designs use icons instead of the contract template which should look like a document - it doesn't have to be an obvious document - you can STYLIZE it so people know its a document. Remember: just using icons confuses people into thinking they are apps or services.
C. most of you did not view my specs which stated that I needed some happy looking creative professionals in there somewhere; they don't have to plaster the entire screen; you can stylize their images as part of the background, or as banner sections, etc...

Hi Everybody, thanks for your submission. I have commented on your work individually in the hope that you can use that info to send a draft B. For the sake of guiding everybody I will post some comments I made:
A. some of you have tried to replicate my original site: contractmint.com by simply changing the colors and layout; the quick comment is: DON'T. If I needed contractmint.com part 2 I can DIY it myself. I want something totally BOLD, DARING, EYE CATCHING, DIFFERENT.

If you submit design only thats fine. There will be bidders who will submit both design + implementation and that will be taken into account. So your design will have to be outstanding.

Look & Feel: I guess I am leaning towards the Windows 8.1 start page look. Solid colors which do not clash/are complimentary. Smiling, good looking people. Nice icons/short titles as opposed to wordy. Easy navigation. Still has a section for text intros below.

Business type: see contractmint.com. Exactly the same. However I am looking for a different design altogether. Something that says Creative. Big. Bold. Beautiful. The site caters to creative professionals so it must be aesthetically pleasing yet easy to navigate.
