Contest Brief
This is for a website that Automotive Dealerships will use to track the flow of deals. When a customer buys a car, there's a lot to be done after their paperwork has been completed. There is currently no software solutions available on the market that services a dealerships everyday need to track where deals are at in the process of being completed. The deal go's from the Sales Desk, to the finance manager, to accounting office, back to finance if it's missing something, then back to accounting, then the contract go's to the bank. The finance department needs to then track what's needed to get the contract finalized at the bank and sometimes follow up with the customer to get additional items that may be needed. Once the deal has been completed, it gos back to accounting to be finalized. The trade then gets paid off and then the title clerk begins the registration process.
I am envisioning a row of columns, where in each one, there are cards that represent each "car deal". It will have some basic information (photo, deal #, stock #, customer name, deal date), then if you select it, it will expand into a larger box or open a separate window that has more information pertaining to the deal. You can then drag and drop the box into other columns as it moves along in the process.
I have attached some very rough mockups that I've created titled deal flow finance and deal flow accounting. By selecting a department on the left navigation bar it takes you to a dashboard for that dept. Then you can drill down by individual employee. Each employee has their own rows of columns that will have cards in each one. They move them along the process and into the next column and can update notes, etc.
I have attached some other images to give an idea of what I"m looking for. Drag and drop is sort of the overall view that I'm looking for. Then the one titled expanded full screen card is sort of what it might look like when you select and open a card. Then, at the bottom of that card there could be room for a message board or discussion stream for employees to discuss that particular deal. I attached another file title message board stream to give an idea of how that might look if you were to attach it to the expanded full screen card.
