Contest Brief

This is the design contest for a website specialising in providing practice IQ tests to university students. The website will be Australian based, with the target market being Australian university students, on average aged 20-22, principally studying business. There are three basic products available for purchase:
o Practice verbal reasoning tests
o Practice numerical reasoning tests
o Practice diagrammatic reasoning tests

You will find some crude, hand drawn mock-ups attached for the pages that need to be designed. Also attached is a word document which explains the content of each page.

In terms of colour scheme, please use your judgement and creative skills to come up with whatever you think is best. Can I suggest a combination of a couple of shades of blue, with orange? Whatever you choose, try to restrict the amount of different colours to only a few (3-4 at the most I would say). Also, at each step feel free to use the full extent of your creativity and design skills, as long as you stick the general layout. Hello, had a quick look at your mockup, but I am not sure about it. Why are there so many.....I mean homepage1, homepage 1.1, homepage1.2....etc. Do you need all these to be incorporated in the homepage??????????? Let me know so that I can start working. Thanks

  Hello. The multiple versions are as you scroll down the page, that's all. As for the multiple versions of the User Profile, there are multiple versions because there are 3 different products, all of which will look different. The same goes for the Test Software pages.

Hi all.

I am very impressed with the quality of submissions so far.

I have also noted that a number of you have suggested layouts that were different to what I had the mock-ups. Good work! Feel free to do this, using your design skills, creativity and user experience knowledge. I'll get back to you with some feedback soon. Please upload at least one version of the Home Page AND one version of the User Profile page, OR the Testing Software. You need to do this to be considered. Please note of course, if you are awarded the contest, then you must design ALL of the pages that are included in the mock-ups. Cheers.

By the way, given there are a number of pages, I would be happy for you to only upload one part of the Home Page, one part of the User Profile and one part of the Testing Software. I can choose which of those submissions I like the best and award the contest based on that. The winner can then finish designing the rest of the pages. This prevent you spending a lot of time working on all the pages without being guaranteed a return. Cheers, Tim.
