Quick overview:

My website is www.mytrailapp.com. We are looking for a Photoshop mock-up of a design of a -single- page of our website. We can translate your design to code, we just are poor designers ourselves. We are -not- looking for an entire redesign of the website, just one specific page.



The page to re-design:

I have attached a screenshot of what the current page looks like that we would like to have re-designed. To see this page in person, go to www.mytrailapp.com and login using the username "freelance" and password "freelance". Then click the "SAMPLE TRAIL (EURO)" to open the page. We would like to have this page (which we call the "Trail display" page) redesigned to be something more modern.

We want to provide users with a great, fluid user experience, where they can access all the critical data (the name of trail, description, photos, videos, tweets, their path on a map, etc...) in an easy and intuitive way.



What your design must have:

Your redesigned page must include all the key features the current page has, including:

- the name of the trail
- the description of the trail
- thumbnails of images, videos and tweets
- names of point locations
- a print icon (currently located in the white information bar on the right at the very top (above the name of the trail and description))
- a settings icon (currently located in the white information bar on the right at the very top (above the name of the trail and description))
- the map, with start + end points
- a "play button" for the playback animation
- a footer with the current footer content (the content can be arranged / designed out how you choose)
- a header where it has: (1) our logo, and (2) buttons or icons for: logout, settings, and notifications (currently the red alert icon), etc. This all can be arranged / designed how you choose.

If you feel like redesigning the logo, too, go for it. If we like it, we'll pay extra for it.


Format:

All designs must be done with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Please upload your contest designs as .JPG files. When we pick a winner, we'll have you send us the Photoshop PSD / Illustrator files.



What we want the re-design to look like:

This is largely up to you. Sorry, I know that doesn't help much =)

I would recommend taking a look around the website to get a feel for what the product (Trail) is and does, and build off our existing design to make it more fluid and modern.

One page we generally like the look of that has to do with mapping is: http://hyperlapse.tllabs.io/ ... But by no means feel constrained to this style or type of design.

    The deadline cannot be extended. It costs money to extend contests on freelancer, sorry. Whatever has been submitted as a formal contest entry is what I'll judge. Thanks for your work on this.

      The date did not close unexpectedly. Theven deadline has been the same all along. And I cannot award you the money unless you formally create an entry with your designs, which is why I kept telling people not to send me links to things and to post your ideas as conest entries on freelancer. Even if I wanted to award you ther money I can't now because you never created a contest entry...

    Hi please post your entries on freelancer. I am traveling and it's hard for me to copy and paste links intomy phone browser to check ideas. Also, if you send me links to ideas in messages there's a good chance I won't see them because I'm checking them on my phone. I suggest posting all ideas as freelancer entries and I'll comment on them individually.

    As a first point, we're looking for a design that's modern, sleek, and extremely user friendly. However, it should work with our current logo and color scheme. We are most interested in finding unique ways to lay out the map and location content (e.g., point names, thumbnails of images, play button, etc...). Get creative with it -- try making the map full screen, or moving elements around. Don't feel constrained by our current design.

    Hey guys, thanks for all your hard work on these. Unfortunately, none of them are quite what I'm looking for. I know it's a lot my fault because I didn't give a ton of feedback. That was my mistake for having two contests going at once (I had another contest to design an App mockup). Sorry!

    Zainqayam: please do not just post wordpress themes that have nothing to do with the website. I can go find and install a wordpress theme myself. I'm looking for creativity, and the design to be specifically related to the Trail website.
