Contest Brief

Requirements:
- Size 1230 x 150 px (wide x high)
- Only gif (or jpg or png). No flash.
- 2 or 3 "slides"
- The banner is going to be placed on top at webforumet.no (I have paid for adverticing).

Please use my website http://webspesialisten.no as inspiration.

Goals:
- One important goal is to build brand-awareness and I would want the design to include our logo and the black background (in part or completely). Clicks are important, but no big glossy "Click here now!" text.

Product I'm trying to sell with the banner:
- Hosting of Managed Dedicated server, where we take care of all costs, patching, backup and so on and still let the end-user have full access. All inclusive 24/7.
- We are very proud of our own datacenter and that may also show/sell.

I want you to use real pictures from iStockphoto.com (I will pay the royalty fee).

I don't want to be very spesific about pictures, because I want to give you artistic freedom and might not know myself what is possible. But kind of images I want to see in the banner:

- See my website and specially the three top ones for images I like/prefer.
- I prefer to use real images of real things (not drawn) that blends into the banner in a nice way.
- No people should appear on the pictures.
- Prefer not to have drawn/cartoon-images of servers (want real ones that goes into racks, not towers).
- Pictures of racks or servers (no clouds).

After contest:
- I would want to be able to change text, preferable in a way that I can use Photoshop to change the text myself using a text-layer or something.

The winner have very good chances of beeing used for later projects (I have lots of things going on).

Currently, holaestudio, LuisEduarte and primemini has the best designs. All of them are acceptable. However, I will not close the contest for at least 12 hours. One thing I like with the best designs so far, is that they have managed to get the image to blend with the background and don't have hard edges (just putting an image on the background without doing anything with it doesn't do it for me - that I could do myself :) So, include my logo, the black background and a well faded-in image of racks or servers. Maybe a bullet-list of 4-5 keywords of what I provide in the second slide. I prefer 3 slides.

holaestudio has just published a design that has a real close-up rack server in a rack as background and logo/text to the left, but over part of this background to the rigth. So far, it is the best one.
