Contest Brief

We are beginning the design of a bank information application to compete with S&P Global, FI Navigator, FedFis, Performance Trust, US Banks Directory, Data Joe, KBRA, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), RoutingCheck, Finclan, rtn.one, Bank-Code, Bloomberg, Lexis Nexis, Dun & Bradstreet, Thomson Reuters, Verisk Analytics, Intapp, Wolters Kluwer, IHS Markit (acquired by S&P Global), Dow Jones, MorningStar and Refinitiv.

We are focused on the banks in the US and eventually the world. There are 4,800 active banks in the US. 10,000 have existed over the past 20 years.

The users of this app are bank stakeholders, bank owners, executives, vendors, hedge funds, investment analysts and others that are interested in as much information as possible on the banks.

Key pieces of data are: bank balance sheets, income statements, performance ratios, condition ratios, news information, people data, organizational hierarchies with all legal entities, SEC filings, stock prices, equity holders, bank failures, predictive models, etc.

For graphs, we plan to use highchartr. https://www.highcharts.com/

This app design will reside at app.visbanking.com and will be behind a paywall. Headers and footers should be similar designs to the existing website.

We are looking for a general design AND some examples of specific page designs (e.g. financials, stock prices, news, people data, et al). The contest winner will provide all graphics files, color palettes and assign all rights and permissions to use the art.

If there are other designs that are compelling, we will assign 2nd and 3rd place awards if those designs are to be incorporated. IF WE ASSIGN 2nd and 3rd place, the award will be 60% and 30% of the 1st place award and the recipients will also prepare the art files and color palettes for delivery.
